Is Ps3 Firmware 2.70 Locking Ps2 Adapters ?

for AltPlusF4.com webpage , latest firmware of ps3 (2.70) lock ps2 to ps3 adapters.It looks like brick ps3 but its just lock.The suspicion is , sony know this or not ? There is another comment from me , as we know before , a hacker team name Team Ice was trying to hack ps3 hypervisor security by making freeze of the ps3 system to run unsigned code.The plan was to reach "hello world" with bypass security.When i see these firmware problem , i think maybe it can be a way to bypass ps3 system.These are just theories , time will show what is true.
